F6 Tax
Question 2 Individual
Question 3, 4, 5.
Focus on
1. Service tax & sales tax
2. Basis period
3. Section 108 a/c
4. WHT : interest, special classes & contract payment
5. Allowance: QBA, Agriculture allowance
6. Partnership
7. Tax Admin
Tips for TAX?
well, the syllabus is not very wide and Question 1 & 2 is 'known' question.
The problem is Question 3, 4 & 5. for these 3 questions, i GUESS a guaranteed 1Q on Service & sales tax.
The other 2Q will be a little of everything else but focus on partnership, Agriculture allowance, basis period & WHT.
However, i have a little hunch that question 2 might be partnership instead of individual. we'll never know till Monday.
i advice on looking at how the examiner gives marks especially on Q3, 4 & 5. As she gives marks on key words and usually it's 1 mark 1 point(ouch!). so, aim to 'gain as much mark as possible'!

Due to the fact that there's only 2 past year to rely on Pilot & Dec 07, harder to distinguish sun, star and Moon. as in more sun and stars...
About 3 out of 10 question from the pilot paper came out in Dec 07. not the entire question but the sub-topic that it touches. So, start bang highly on pilot and get a minimum of 30%. the others, on ur own.
however, the moon areas are Dec 07 questions:
1. Delegated legislation(adv + disadv) v Legislation
2. Lay off & redundancy
3. Characteristic of partnership
4. exempt private v non-exempt private & wholly subsidiary
5. offer vs itt & termination(revocation only) PILOT
6. Reduction of capital
7. Audit committee PILOT
8. Lifting veil of incorporation & fraudulent behaviour PILOT
9. Directors substantial property transaction S132E & over-aged director S129
10. a little on consideration & certainty of subject matter PILOT
All the best and have fun!! =P
